The Apple Pay Withdrawal Caveat
Apple Pay is one of the fastest, most convenient deposit methods in the Vermont market; but it is deposit-only. The Apple Pay infrastructure doesn't support inbound transfers from merchants to your linked card or bank account in the same flow. So if you deposit via Apple Pay, you must withdraw via a different method.
Best practice: when you fund via Apple Pay for the first time, also link a second method (PayPal, ACH, or debit card) so that when you want to cash out, the path is already set up.
How to Deposit with Apple Pay
- Open the operator app on your iPhone
- Navigate to Deposit or Cashier
- Select Apple Pay (you must have at least one card already loaded in your Apple Wallet)
- Choose your amount; the Face ID / Touch ID prompt appears
- Authenticate; funds arrive in the sportsbook account instantly
Common Issues
- Your bank may block the transaction. Some banks (especially smaller credit unions) block gambling-related charges by default; even via Apple Pay. If you get a transaction-declined error, contact your bank to unblock gambling MCC (merchant category code) 7995.
- No Android equivalent. Google Pay is generally not accepted at VT operators as of April 2026. Android users should default to PayPal, debit card, or ACH.
- The first Apple Pay deposit on a new account triggers extra KYC. Most users clear instantly, but identity verification may require uploading a driver's license.
When Apple Pay Makes Sense
- You bet exclusively on iPhone
- You want a quick deposit for a single-game wager
- You already use Apple Pay for everyday spending and prefer the unified Wallet view
- You're depositing for the welcome offer and want to fund minimum to claim
If you'll be making meaningful withdrawals, link PayPal as your default; it's the fastest cashout method at all three Vermont operators.
