Venmo at VT Sportsbooks
Venmo is supported only at FanDuel in Vermont; not at DraftKings or Fanatics. Same speed and feel as PayPal (its parent company), with the social-payments familiarity many bettors prefer.
Venmo at VT Sportsbooks; Quick Facts

- Deposit speed: Instant

Why Only FanDuel?
FanDuel was the first US sportsbook to integrate Venmo, partnering with PayPal (Venmo's parent) on the rollout. DraftKings and Fanatics support PayPal but have not added Venmo as a separate option in regulated US markets. The functional difference is essentially branding; PayPal and Venmo route through the same payment infrastructure.
Setting Up Venmo at FanDuel
- Open the FanDuel app, go to Account → Deposit or Cashier
- Select Venmo from the list of methods
- You'll be redirected to Venmo to authenticate
- Confirm the link between Venmo and your FanDuel account
- Set your deposit amount and confirm; funds appear instantly
Withdrawals to Venmo
Venmo withdrawals from FanDuel typically settle in under 24 hours, often within 30 minutes of FanDuel approving the cashout. Once funds land in Venmo, you can:
- Keep them as Venmo balance (use for peer-to-peer payments, Venmo card spending)
- Transfer instantly to your linked bank for a small Venmo fee (~1.75%, max $25)
- Transfer free to your bank via standard 1–3 business day ACH
Common Issues
- Venmo balance insufficient: Venmo will fall back to your linked bank or debit card. If the bank holds the transfer, the deposit can fail despite Venmo showing it as sent.
- Same Venmo on multiple accounts: Not allowed; will be flagged as duplicate. Use only your own Venmo on your own FanDuel.
- Venmo card vs Venmo balance: FanDuel pulls from Venmo balance first, then Venmo-linked sources. Make sure you understand which is being charged.
If You Want Venmo Speed at DraftKings or Fanatics
Both DraftKings and Fanatics support PayPal, which moves at essentially the same speed as Venmo and is owned by the same parent company. Linking PayPal to those operators gives you the same instant-deposit and same-day-withdrawal experience as Venmo at FanDuel.
